R.L.Stratton 2019 Scholarship

      On November 13, the Fall Student Awards and Banquet took place at the Ridgetown Campus of the University of Guelph. Sarah O'Carroll is a Graduate in Wildlife Management and currently enrolled in Environmental Management. She was presented the R.L.Stratton Scholarship by the Club's Richard Bodnaruk, representing President Paul Watson. Originally from SW Ontario, Sarah grew up in Nova Scotia has traveled and lived broadly, and has had a long interest in our planet's ecology. Sarah qualified for the $1500 scholarship by completing at least 6 Credits, maintaining a high academic standing, and demonstrating service to her community. She extends a sincere thank-you to the Club.
      The R.L. Stratton Scholarship of one of three introduced in 1985 by then President Barry Fraser, and subsequently named for the first President (1921-23) of the Rotary Club of Chatham. The others are the Ronald and Herbert Todgham Scholarship for the University of Windsor and the Rotary Club of Chatham Scholarship at St. Clair College Chatham Campus.
